SD Shooting Sports want you to consider joining us!

If you’re like most Clubs/Organizations your first reaction is,

“Why?”

Here’s why:

SD Shooting Sports helped develop and pass the South Dakota Range Protection Act. This landmark legislation was passed by the SD Legislature several years ago and has been instrumental in protecting South Dakota shooting ranges from law suits and closure threats. Each year, our Legislative Affairs Director, David Conway is in Pierre working to protect our 2nd Amendment rights. We all need to support efforts like these which benefit shooting ranges directly. SD Shooting Sports tracks all of these legislative efforts on our website at www.sdshootingsports-ila.org. Your club’s membership can help us in this important work.
SDSSA can help you host NRA sanctioned shooting matches.
SDSSA will include your event info on the SD Shooting Sports Assoc. state Events Calendar.
SDSSA will send your club an official newsletter.
Your club can also choose to receive our E-Bullet Emails and Legislative Alert-Emails

AND...

SDSSA provides members with options to develop an online presence. Many clubs do not have the resources to develop a webpage or website. SDSSA understands this, and so we have a 3 tiered membership option for clubs. Your club can have just a basic club membership and expanded contact information will be placed on our club listing page. But maybe your club needs a little more than a listing. We will work with your club to develop a great and effective online presence.

Package A- Club Affiliate Membership
$15 (annual charge)

This package allows any club to have a very basic presence on the SDSSA Website. Full contact information will be placed on the Club List. (Non-affiliated member clubs have only Club name, town and one contact phone number.

Club Membership listings will contain club name, club address, contact name, contact phone number, contact email address, and website address if available. Member clubs will receive all benefits of being a member of SDSSA. This includes getting SDSSA newsletters and emails.

Package B- Club Membership with Online Presence
$135 (annual charge) + $35 setup fee.

In addition to the basic Affiliated Club Membership benefits, your club will receive a webpage designed for your club. This page would likely include the following information though the contents can be adjusted to fit your club’s needs.

Your Facility Information
Your Membership Information (with printable online form to mail in with membership fee)
Your Event Calendar
Your Club Photos (10 total)
Your Contact Information (plus expanded listing on “SDSSA Clubs” table)
Your Club Newsletter (quarterly updates)
Your website address will be similar to the following: http://www.sdshootingsports.org/your-club-name.htm

We will include a club photo or logo at the top of your club’s page. Each section will be one or two paragraphs in length. But we can make it as long as you want it to provide good information about your club.

Your club may wish to choose the Option B Membership if it has several of these characteristics:

Publishes a small quarterly newsletter
Has one or two major public shoots per year
Has up to three league events yearly
Has around 150 members
Publishes end of summer season shooting scores for events
Needs around 4 updates to the site per year (besides newsletter uploads).

If your club needs a page that needs more information (photos etc.) or if your club needs more updates to your webpage than what this plan offers, you can include the following "add-ons" to your membership.

Add-on Options for Package B:

Your own domain name and domain forwarding: $20 annually
You can choose to purchase your own domain name which we would forward to your webpage. So rather than your web address being similar to (www.sdshootingsports.org/your-club-name.htm) it could be www.your-club-name.com
Monthly Newsletter updates: $40 annually
Other Monthly Update: $40 annually
Weekly Updated Event Scores: $40 annually
Additional photos: $20 flat rate annually

Package C- Club Membership and multi-page website
$275 annual charge ($135 set up fee)

This package includes the Basic Membership package and benefits and it includes all the add-on options.

It is $20 less than if your club purchased Option B and all the add-ons separately!

Your club may wish to choose the Option C Website if it has several of these characteristics:

Publishes a monthly newsletter
Has several major public shoots per year or holds other educational type events such as hunter safety courses or demonstrations.
Has three or more league events yearly which scores are posted weekly
Has around 250 members
In addition to monthly newsletter and weekly shooting score updates during the summer, this club needs 6-8 updates to the site per year.
