meet david conway
Does the Name David Conway ring any bells for you? No?
Hey David, what is it you do for our SDSSA?
"My duties are being the state lobbyist for SDSSA, maintaining a positive working relationship with the Legislative, Executive, and Law Enforcement branches of our state government and being the watch dog for gun owners concerns at the capital.
I started lobbying in 1998 and every gun law passed or defeated since then has been because of our organization and members. This does not include hunting issues, the SDWF takes care of that area and are doing a good job at it.
I just concentrate on Second Amendment style of issues. Anything that effects our right to keep and bear arms. I will also add that, SDSSA is THE ONLY organization that does it. I am also the NRA-ILA Election Volunteer Coordinator for SD. During election years this position is almost more then I can handle."
SDSSA feels its experience and collective knowledge and resources concerning firearms legislation,
along with its support and cooperation from the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, allows it to
provide you, the firearm owner, with the best representation possible where issues of your rights to
own and use firearms lawfully are concerned.
SDSSA is actively involved in successful support for legislation allowing handgun hunting, rewriting
of current handgun permit regulations, and pre-emption legislation guaranteeing our state's residents
a uniform right to keep and bear arms for all lawful purposes.
