Introduction Letter from Clay!

Hello Everyone:

I would like to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Clayton M. Pederson and I am the new NRA Field Rep for SD and ND. I took over duties December 3rd, 2007.

My goal is to continue the growth and support within South Dakota for Shooting Sports Programs, Youth Shooting and Education Programs, and Range Improvements.

A vital part of reaching this goal is the support of the Friends of NRA Program and local Events held statewide. In 2007 over $75,000 was raised within South Dakota for these programs through local Friends of NRA Events. To find a Friends of NRA Event in your area, please visit www.friendsofnra.org and click on the SD Homepage. With many events scheduled in South Dakota we are always looking for Second Amendment Supporters to join a local committee and help us keep promoting the shooting sports programs within the state. We have two Friends of NRA Organizational Meetings coming up for both Madison and Sioux Falls South Dakota. If you are interested in volunteering on those committee’s please contact me at 1-701-522-9622.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Dakota Territory Gun Collectors as the Underwriter for the 2008 FNRA Gun of The Year in North and South Dakota. Please tell them thank you when you attend a DTGCA Gunshow.

2008 NRA State Convention and Fund Committee Meeting

A date has been set for the South Dakota Friends of NRA State Convention and State Fund Committee meeting. Both will take place during the weekend of February 23rd and 24th. Check out the details here.

At this time, please select your committee representative and alternate and notify me via e-mail or phone by January 19th. Also enclosed is the nomination form to fill out and return to me as well. I would also like to have these returned by the same date.

Do you know what it is? It is a publication of the NRA Clubs and Associations Division. A copy is mailed to all NRA Affiliate clubs to provide timely up-to-date information on services provided to you through the Division.

Information provided in the Club Connection should be included in your local club newsletters. This is a great way to keep your club members informed on a variety of topics that affect the shooting sports locally and nationwide.
