We are a sport shooting facility that is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, the Civilian Marksmanship Program and the American Rimfire Association. We have a multi-use range for the varied interest of the members, but we focus on marksmanship- competition recreational shooting. the facilities
The Yankton Sharpshooters’ range facility has firing lines for shooting at 50, 100, and 200 yards. Both
the 51 and 100-yard ranges are built with concrete surfaced firing lines. In addition, the 100-yard range
is enclosed on 3 sides and includes an enclosed shooting room. The 200-yard range is constructed to
accommodate High Power Rifle competition. There are 10 firing points with counter-balance target carriers.
For pistol shooters there is a special range equipped with falling plate targets.
Membership with the organization allows year-round access. The gate to the range is secured with a lock, the
combination for which is given only to members.
Open access to the range is limited when scheduled club shoots and other competitions are being conducted.
All members are notified in advance of scheduled club activities through the monthly newsletter.

The Yankton Sharpshooters also host South Dakota Championship Matches under the auspices of the South
Dakota Shooting Sports Association. Those competitions have included: High Power Rifle, High Power
Sporting Rifle, and Small bore Rifle Prone matches.
This organization is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, the Civilian Marksmanship Program,

membership
Membership in the Yankton Sharpshooters Club requires that you be a member in good standing of the
National Rifle Association. Membership in the South Dakota Shooting Sports Association is optional.
All new members are required to run through a presentation of range rules presented by a club officer.
Membership allows access to the range by the enrolled member and family members living in the same
household.
Annual membership fee is $35.00.
