Youth Shooting Programs
CMP offers M1 Garand Raffle to raise funds for youth shooting!
The Civilian Marksmanship Program is pleased to announce a program designed to assist State
Associations in their fund development efforts. To that end, one (1) M1 Garand rifle will be set aside
for each CMP affiliated State Association. Funds generated from this effort shall be used exclusively
for marksmanship training programs which may include, but are not limited to, sending teams (junior and
senior) to State, Regional, and National Championships.
Winners must comply with existing CMP rules that apply to the sale of M1 rifles. Winners must, therefore,
be notified that if they win, they must go through the standard background check, and the process could
take up to three months to complete. The CMP, however, will expedite these applications.
The SD Shooting Sports annual M1 Raffle supporting Junior Shooting Programs is underway. The winner
will receive an M1 Garand rifle, direct from the civilian Marksmanship Program. The
drawing will be at the SDSSA annual meeting.
